Due to the COVID19 Pandemic, on 11th March 2020, the Australian Government announced up to 100 GP-led Respiratory Clinics to keep patients with mild/moderate symptoms away from hospitals and other general practices. The Wellington Respiratory clinic was established by the Inglis Medical Centre (IMC) at 12 Inglis Street, Sale, in a separate part of the building to ensure any suspected cases of COVID 19 are managed in a dedicated isolated clinic, well away from Inglis Medical Centre regular functions. WRC provided over 30,000 consultations during the pandemic. The commonewealth project ended in 2022.
