Mr. Hashim Najmi 


Hashim completed his Bachelor in Physiotherapy in 1999, he then worked for three years in a private physiotherapy practice overseas. After arriving in Australia Hashim graduated from University of Melbourne and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal in 2005. Hashim then joined Central Gippsland Health Services in 2006 and was employed as Senior Community Rehabilitation Physiotherapist. During this time Hashim was one of the initial team members for the falls and balance group and he also implemented a hip and knee group designed for land based rehabilitation and hydro therapy.

Hashim is a registered Medicare Service provider for physiotherapy clients with an existing Team Care Plan. He also provides services for TAC, Work Cover and DVA clients. Private consultations are also available.

As some clients may have complex needs, Hashim is able to evaluate those needs and offer services that will help achieve management goals.

Movement Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates group

Recently completed and new to Inglis Medical Centre is the Movement Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates group. Working from the purpose-built and well-equipped Rehabilitation Gym housed within the building, the Physiotherapy team can provide group rehabilitation classes for a range of medical conditions from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, MS, hip and knee replacement to weight management for diabetic patients and muscle strengthening for people recovering from treatment or injury. This range of services can also be provided one on one if the client would like individual attention.

A big part of the practice is Clinical Pilates which is used as a front line tool for injury prevention in sport or the workplace and had been proven to be very effective in speedy rehabilitation and management of long term pain.

The Inglis Medical Centre Physiotherapy team comprises of Hashim Najmi, Jennifer McGuiness and Ayesha Nasir. Ayesha specifically has a special interest and training in women’s health issues ranging from early child bearing years to post-partum pelvic, hip and continence issues.
